OCD can be successfully treated and evidence shows that the sooner it is detected and treated the better the outcomes are likely to be. OCD can be effectively treated by CBT(Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) or a combination of medications and CBT . Also, there are newer modalities of treatment, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) that are now approved to treat OCD.
